Main Missions:

  • Develop and implement of MA strategy to set a stage for long-term partnership with Health authorities and payors stakeholders to ensure that the right patient has access to the right medicine (based on approved indications) in Reimbursement system and hospitals, when and where they need it at a fair price.
  • Define opportunities facilitating local market access.
  • Prepare key deliverables to facilitate product access and ensure inclusion of Sanofi products into positive registration/reimbursement lists.
  • Develop strategic plans and taking the lead position for all market access initiatives for the assigned portfolio at the Algerian affiliate level.

Main Activities :

  • Ensure alignment with business priorities and integration of Market Access into operational plans (jointly with the regional MA leads, affiliate pricing manager and departments involved in the promotion of drugs (BU, T&R).
    • Understand the local payer environment and establish a market access approach that reflects this.
    • Maintains a high level of knowledge with regards to the scientific, clinical and commercial developments in the product area(s)
  • Align local MA strategy with Global and regional MA strategies and approaches to ensure a Market Access Readiness Plan :
    • Provides input into local products forecasts, including strategic, operational and financial forecasting
    • Elaborate P&R dossiers
    • Participate/support BUs and PE/BD and Review (for local and regional validation) the Business cases and MAx plans
    • Participate/support for registration and Reimbursement dossiers
    • Support on pre-submission dossiers (FIT) and registration dossier elaboration
  • Coordinates the local access strategy with global commercial partner functions and GMAx function, to ensure consistent local value story and local tools are in place in a timely manner
  • Works closely with Global/region, to support the definition and development of projects in support of access including adaptation of health economic modelling, country level epidemiology, payer environment, competitor data/intelligence and any other factor that may inform and guide local market access pricing and commercialization strategies
  • Develop and execute local health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) strategies, demonstrating the medical and economic payer-relevant value of Sanofi products
  • •Support level of evidence that secures optimal market access, successful assessments, optimal pricing, reimbursement and formulary listing for Sanofi product
  • Ensure efficient and timely development of key deliverables
  • Ensure that future payer requirements are fully reflected for the future products to launch

Dimension of the position:

  • Market access activities for the assigned product area (s)
  • Key strategic and leadership role in with local brand teams to identify and define value proposition for the portfolio in key customers
  • Provide a strategic market access proposal based on a local and regional/global guidance for the assigned product area (s)
  • Ensure risks / Opportunities understanding / evaluation / leveraging from changing  regulation & shaping environment

Qualifications requises du poste

Compétences

  • Project management skills and experience
  • Strong strategic and leadership skills as well as analytical skills to adapt Global information and messages into local payer access strategies.
  • Ability to review and analyze business and medical data
  • A comprehensive understanding of the pricing /reimbursement environment and the government/payer review process
  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work competently in software programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written & oral English skills.
  • Positive track record for successful development and execution of market access or similar
  • Strong methodological skills is a real plus

Formation / Expérience professionnelle nécessaire

  • Doctorate degree in Medicine / Pharmacy and/or expertise in health economics or related discipline
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry with a good knowledge of a pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in market access and health economics in the pharmaceutical industry appreciated
