About the Opportunity

As (CHC) Medical Head mission is to build scientific credibility and endorsement for our CHC product portfolio, anticipating the future for self-care, generating innovative medical insights through science and technology and manage the risks utilizing the highest ethical and compliance standards.
The CHC Medical Head role is to create and add value to the business, contributing with medical insights to the country-specific objectives/strategies. Local medical need and risk management are essential, whilst maintaining alignment with the CHC strategy and securing the maintenance and improvement of the CHC product portfolio.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Represent the Company in order to promote its interests within the medical peer group.

  • Provide the CHC business unit with medical expertise creating and adding value in order to develop medical plan and contribute with inputs to the marketing plans

  • Develop and lead the business unit clinical program by drafting protocols, working close to CSU unit and contacting appropriate investigators. Supervising the clinical trials evolution and the subsequent analysis and drafting clinical reports, as appropriate

  • Be able to anticipate and maximize medical value in clinical trials, registries and other initiatives including Rx-to-OTC switches

  • Provide the Business Strategy & Innovation division with medical opinion in order to develop partnership opportunities and optimal health authorities submission

  • Develop, approve and/or certify, where appropriate, promotional, training and scientific materials, within the constraints imposed by current legal and ethical standards and according to the guidelines set by the Head of Medical Affairs

  • Assist with the scientific training of medical representatives to develop their understanding of the CHC products and relevant disease areas in order that they can sell effectively and with confidence

  • Provide medical opinion and work close  to Regulatory Affairs supporting the local needs for CHC products

  • Work in partnership with CMI team, delivering the medical insights in a proper way to support the consumer approach and contributing to achieve the best results that will help to guide the business plans

  • Evaluate and investigate suspected adverse reaction reports associated with CHC products (in conjunction with the Pharmacovigilance Department), reporting appropriately to the Health authorities and Corporate PV in order that prevailing legal and Corporate requirements are met

  • Lead the SL management with the responsibility for building a continuous relationship based on scientific approach

  • Lead the External stakeholder engagement and relationships

  • Active participation in the CHC Product Brand meetings and in the Brand plan preparation

  • Provide scientific competitive intelligence to the product manager and business plan preparation

  • Provide medical/scientific support to dossier preparation for pricing, reimbursement and prescription guidelines issues

  • Provide leadership and direction focused on supporting the delivery of the medical objectives at country level

  • Management of local PV responsibilities for Greece and Cyprus

  • Ensure that PV operating and safety management systems are effectively organized at country level to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies by monitoring compliance and KPIs

  • Ensure that education and training on PV and relevant safety topics within the local organization are performed including documentation of attendees and topics covered

  • Cover pharmacovigilance activities, investigate suspected adverse reaction reports associated with CHC products including Rx brands, reporting appropriately to the Health authorities and Corporate PV in order that local pharmacovigilance regulation and Corporate requirements are met

About you

Education:

Medical (scientific) background – degree in Medicine; board certification in area of expertise could be an advantage

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of job related experience is desirable

Core knowledge, competencies & skills:

• Medical degree desirable, Scientific/health related degree is acceptable if supported by good experience

• A keen understanding of drug development and commercialization

• Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining a KOL network

• Experience in working across and building effective partnerships between business, Medical, and Regulatory

• Experience in dealing with safety issues

 • Good understanding of the consumer health care pharmaceutical business

• Experience working within a company with a complex organizational environment and the ability to operate in a matrix, team oriented structure

• Strong commercial acumen and strategic ability

• Computer literacy: advanced knowledge of MS Word, Ms Excel, MS PowerPoint, Ms Outlook

• Languages: excellent English language skills

• Driving license
