Job purpose

Within the framework of Sanofi global business strategy, prepares, implement and carries out all the necessary activities in order to support the company’s objectives achievement through the rapid and efficient market access of the company’s products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports in developing market access strategies and plans for existing and new Sanofi products

  • Develops, together with external experts if is requested, accurate pharmaco-economics evidence to support company’s products value for money

  • Consists of a key member of the negotiation team with the Authorities, if physical presence not possible on external meetings in all cases (geography), V&A should be included included in all internal preparations

  • Consists of an important stakeholder in the internal brand teams, providing technical expertise, market access insights and strategic guidance for market access related issues

  • Is a key person for the development and the implementation of the product’s strategy in alignment with Global market access and relevant GBU

  • Coordinates cross-functionally the development of the Market Access Plan and provides input in the development of the Brand plans and Public Affairs Plan

  • Provides strategic market insights, conducts regular reviews of reimbursement mechanisms    to identify opportunities for enhancing access. identifyies and proposes access opportunities, as well as potential risks for key brands

  • Where applicable (due to geography), develops and maintains continuous dialogue with key stakeholders relevant to P&R activities, ensuring Sanofi’s positions are communicated in close cooperation with GBUs, Finance, Marketing (South Europe MCO), Medical, Patient Access, Public Affairs and Communication colleagues

  • Maintains a continuous dialog and establishes trustworthy relationships with the decision makers in terms of pricing and reimbursement.  in strong collaboration with Market Access Head & alignment  with the Public Affairs Head

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with Payers, Healthcare Professionals, Scientific Associations, Acedemia and experts in Health Economics

  • Keeps Sanofi Management Committee informed and updated on all relevant facts and events, on regulations changes, latest governmental decisions concerning pricing and reimbursement

Job-holder requirements:

  • Education:University degree in Science or Health sciences

  • Post graduate degree in Health Economics

  • Experience:At least 2 years experience in market access  /pharma business /health care administration system

Core knowledge, competencies & skills:

  • Good understanding of medical, marketing, financial, logistic and legal aspects, as well as their impact on the affiliate business

  • Strategic view of the pharmaceutical industry

  • Good team worker, capable to build relationships across departments and functions

  • Demonstrate high level of energy, drive and personal responsibility to achieve individual and team goals

  • Ability to constantly self-challenge and challenge others in a constructive way

  • Shows integrity, tenacity, resilience and adaptability in complex situations and an often changing environment; is able to handle pressure and commit to and respect deadlines

  • Creates an open atmosphere, inspires and motivates team members to commit to achieving the goals

  • Sense of urgency, punctuality, availability to work extra-hours, to travel extensively on national and/or international scale

  • Languages: Greek & English languages are required

  • Driving license
