In the light of unprecedented environmental changes, accelerated by health care reform and Covid-19, and characterized by ever increasing opportunity for disease prevention and challenge from public health costs pressure, HEOR evidence for our assets are crucial for the acceleration of new launch and business growth through the ability to demonstrate the diease economic, humanistic and social burden and our products’ socioeconomic benefit to health authorities and payer stakeholders. This new role (Health Economics and Value Assessment manager for Vaccine) will be in charge of developing HEOR data generation strategy and leading HEOR projects/studies to drive the access to Vaccines portfolios


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop HEOR data generation strategy and manage HEOR projects/studies and product value dossiers/messages according to business needs, align with Market Access, Marketting, Franchise, Medical, PA, global HEOR/Market Access, and other relevant functions for HEOR projects
  • Research activities can include cost-of-illness evaluations, economic evaluations in clinical trials, cost-effectiveness studies, retrospective database analyses, real-world studies, and patient-reported outcomes (PRO, eg. QoL-Quality of Life) research
  • Closely collaborate with vendors/external partners to track and monitor HEOR project progress & deliverables
  • Independently provide HEOR technical and methodological support and HEOR training to cross-functional teams/internal colleagues
  • Communicate HEOR evidence and value messages effectively with related internal functions; effectively use clinical, economic, and humanistic data to enhance value propositions, product funding
  • Communicate and translate HEOR value massages effectively and creatively in manuscripts, Congresses, dossiers, and appropriate communication tools for HA and payers
  • Engage key clinical, HEOR & HTA experts and facilitate the building of relationships via collaboration on various projects

Candidates Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of HEOR assessments (Disease economic burden, cost-effectiveness, budget impact, cost-utility analyses, prospective studies, database analysis, PRO development)
  • 4+ years of experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR)
  • Experience in conducting Chinese HEOR studies and developing Chinese HTA dossiers (including experience with local data sources), and interacting with Chinese HEOR experts
  • Ability to prepare HEOR abstracts for conferences and experience drafting, reviewing, & editing manuscripts
  • Affinity for a collaborative, team-oriented environment and approach; ability to network and partner with internal and external stakeholders, including HEOR and medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and key HTA customers
  • Excellent project management skills, including management of multiple priorities and resources
  • Education & Languages:

  • Master Degree on Health Economics is a must, PhD/Post doctorals on Health Economics preferred
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin; Good in both written and spoken English
