In the light of unprecedented environmental changes, accelerated by health care reform and Covid-19, and characterized by ever increasing opportunity for disease prevention and challenge from public health costs pressure, HEOR evidence for vaccine are crucial for the acceleration of new launch and business growth through the capability of demonstrating the disease related economic, humanistic and social burden and value of vaccination to health authorities/payers and society. This role (Health Economics and Outcome Research manager for Vaccine) will be leading the development of HEOR evidence generation strategy and execution to support the access/reimbursement needs of our Vaccine portfolio


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop HEOR evidence generation strategy in alignment with Market Access, PA, Marketing, Medical, global HEOR/Market Access, and other relevant functions; lead HEOR programs to support value dossiers/messages according to business needs
  • Research activities include cost-of-illness evaluations, economic evaluations in clinical trials, cost-effectiveness studies, retrospective database analyses, real-world studies, and patient-reported outcomes (PRO, eg. QoL-Quality of Life) research
  • Communicate HEOR evidence and value messages effectively with related internal functions; effectively use clinical, economic, and humanistic data to enhance value propositions, product funding
  • Communicate and translate HEOR value massages effectively and creatively in manuscripts, Congresses, dossiers, and appropriate communication tools for HA and payers
  • Engage key clinical, HEOR & HTA experts and facilitate the building of relationships via collaboration on various projects
  • Closely collaborate with vendors/external partners to track and monitor HEOR project progress & deliverables
  • Independently provide HEOR technical and methodological support and HEOR training to cross-functional teams/internal colleagues

Candidates Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Expertise in HEOR assessments (Disease economic burden, cost-effectiveness, budget impact, cost-utility analyses, prospective studies, database analysis, PRO development)
  • 4+ years of experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR)
  • Experience in conducting HEOR studies; and experience in working with local data sources and external stakeholder is preferred
  • Ability to develop HEOR publications as in abstracts for conferences and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach; ability to network and partner with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to HEOR and medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and key access stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills, including management of multiple priorities and resources

Education & Languages:

  • Master in Health Economics or relevant areas is needed, PhD in Health Economics is preferred
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
