We play a crucial part in Sanofi CHC growth, by providing Procurement solutions to support our CHC business in its vision to become the best FMCH company In & For the world.

Your Role

As Sourcing Expert -Americas, you will act as a trusted partner to business stakeholders in Consumer Healthcare business in North and Latin America, and work as an extended member to the Procurement category teams to perform the sourcing activities on the scope not encompassed into that of category managers. You will act as procurement representative during the development, test and run phases of new ERP (SAP S/4 Hana) and Purchase to Pay (P2P) solutions in your scope, particularly in the US. In addition, your scope may adapt to contribute to other procurement activities such as, Improvement of Preferred supplier adherence, Market scouting, Supplier collaboration/innovation, Procurement Sustainability initiatives, Procurement Data Management amongst others. You will also take a pragmatic approach to find solutions which will enable procurement and business to meet Business continuity needs and its challenging targets.

Main Responsibilities

    Sourcing & Negotiations

    • Be the procurement point of contact for sourcing needs below the category buyer's threshold in the region; The sourcing scope may vary based on regional thresholds

    • In alignment with category manager(s), prepare a Sourcing / negotiation action plan and implement the same for all the requests.

    • Execute the Group operating standards on the sourcing process, supplier selection and payment terms while performing sourcing activities

    • Conduct the e-RFX or e-Auction process for negotiations, as appropriate, in conjunction with the sourcing support teams

    • Validate the Purchase requests based on the rationality of business need & negotiations performed on the supplier proposals

    Change Management/ New Source to Pay Process Implementation

    • Role model / Procurement champion role for the P2P tools (LEO/ eBuy) within the CHC Procurement Scope

    • Actively participate in user acceptance testing, and implementation of P2P tools and proactively take lead to disseminate the training to other buyers in CHC network

    • Perform the risk assessment & mitigation activities – e.g due diligence of new suppliers & re-assess old suppliers, on behalf of procurement, as needed

    • Help identify and contribute to address low performance issues, and proactively liaise with Source to Value (S2V) teams to find solutions.

    Business Partnering

    • Partner with respective Category Managers and Fellow Sourcing experts in CHC, to ensure sourcing guidelines are applied for effective implementation of all Procurement Strategies

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of the CHC Procurement Strategies, as needed

    • Be a procurement representative for all Local/Regional projects around Purchase to Pay for the execution of Full CHC autonomy in carve-in project

    Transversal Projects

    • This role might also contribute to CHC Global Procurement Excellence & Strategy's transversal initiatives, under the umbrella of Data/Digital Tools, CHC Carve-in and Other Procurement dedicated initiatives

    Skills, Experience & Knowledge, Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Finance or equivalent

    • At least 3-7 years’ experience in procurement and related functions

    • Hands-on prior experience on Procurement sourcing & negotiations

    • Skilled in MS office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc.) & high levels of numeracy & accuracy (Excel, Data/Dashboards)

    • Highly effective written and verbal communication, good interpersonal skills

    • Strong interest in Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare environment

    • Ability to work across borders, cultures and within multi-disciplinary teams

    • Transversal collaboration with diverse functional and project management teams

    • Strong Communications and influencing skills

    • Ability to quickly mobilize stakeholder support and commitment

    • Fluency in English. Spanish/Portuguese is preferred.
