Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead a team for the strategic attainment of product access and appropriate reimbursement by participating in and oversee 1) the negotiation process of contractual language for National and Regional Managed Care accounts, and 2) contract analytics for Regional accounts. Key responsibilities include:
Responsible for the direction, management and development of contract documents and contract risk assessment analyses to ensure achievement of corporate financial goals.
Provide strategic recommendations/solutions through the creation of situational analysis to evaluate contracts by Account Management/customers.
Cross-functional collaboration with departments (Legal, Account Management, Finance and brand teams) to assess contract risks, benefits, and compliance.
Alignment with the Contract Strategy team to implement brand specific pricing strategies.
Partner with the Contract Operations team to ensure proper system set-up of pricing terms and accurate rebate payments.
Contribute to the development and evaluation of systematized contract management approach and process improvements.
Manage internal audits as pertain to contract terms and conditions; satisfy all contract requests from legal data team.
Full Contract Responsibility for Regional contract offer analysis, development and governance:
Develop Regional customer proposals in alignment with approved contracting guidelines, and in collaboration with Account Management via financial modeling, as needed.
Review, interpret, and assess specialty product reimbursement and utilization management criteria against pre-defined contracting objectives.
Oversee the customer proposals as part of the Pricing and Contract Governance Process
Develop and Mangage annual Regional contract event timelines to include Bid Calendars, Market Events, Customer Events, and Brand Event Timelines.
Owns and reports tracking of bid process, modeling assumptions for in line contracted products, and project plans for launch readiness for new products.
Collaborate with Market Access Analytics on budget and forecast activities.
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, financial experience and strong negotiation experience
Auditable accuracy in work product
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to coach, train and counsel associates
Excellent training and presentation skills
Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access
Proficiency in Cognos, Impromptu, Powerplay preferred
BA or BS Degree, (Economics, Finance or Accounting preferred)
7 years pharmaceutical experience in Contracting, Pricing, Operations or other critical thinking discipline.
Managed Markets contracting knowledge is required, with demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical contracting
