Sanofi North America (NA) is looking for a Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Initiatives, to help the organization continue fostering a workplace in which everyone is valued and has an opportunity to reach their full potential. The position is based in Bridgewater, NJ.
Under the guidance of the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion North America, the Director, DE&I Initiatives will lead/contribute towards a systemic, sustainable, and progressive DE&I agenda alongside business leaders (including HR and Business Leadership). The Director, DE&I Initiatives will develop and execute programs designed to enhance DE&I programming, including leading DE&I initiatives for Business Units/Functions, strategic management and roadmap of Sanofi NA’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), external partnerships, DE&I metrics, and communication.
Serve as Sanofi NA’s thought leader and strategist for diversity, equity and inclusion.
Bring new practices, and programs to Sanofi NA that accelerate a climate of inclusiveness.
Execute and advance Sanofi NA’s DE&I strategy and plan. Align with senior leaders, HR business partners, talent management, talent acquisition, HR operations, and/or other areas on strategic DE&I priorities.
Accountable for the oversight and strategic guidance for Sanofi NA’s ERGs. Foster the growth of new and existing ERGs by building collaborative relationships with the sponsors, leaders, members, and allies. Lead the implementation of the ERG governance and infrastructure (tools, templates, databases, technology solutions, etc.) and embed ERG into DE&I plan.
Deepen the impact of our ERGs by engaging them in talent development initiatives, policy review for inclusion, education campaigns and recruitment drives.
Lead DE&I metrics and measurement by interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing data to accelerate progress.
Lead DE&I communications in collaboration with communications team on effective internal and external communication and branding around our strategy, commitment, updates and community involvement.
Lead the external diversity partnership portfolio and assess which indices and organizations Sanofi NA should use as frameworks to advance our DE&I agenda.
Stay current on diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices, programs, and metrics outside of our organization to optimize and integrate within our company’s goals and strategic approach.
Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 6-8 years of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion/human resources function.
Must have three years of relevant work experience in program/project management.

Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with multiple overlapping priorities.
Have the ability to work independently, strong planning and operational skills, with a balanced strategic and tactical approach.
Expert in probing and proactively asking the right questions to get the needed information.
Have a positive mindset and develop win/win relationships with internal key stakeholders at all levels.
Confident stakeholder management skills, strong client focus, and responsiveness.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, flexible and resilient in a dynamic environment.
