The Medical Operations Lead role reports directly to the Medical Head of General Medicines US Medical and will have a significant role to drive and implement strategic projects as well as take a leadership role in managing critical operational aspects of General Medicines US Medical. These include, but are not limited to, working with the General Medicines US Medical Leadership Team, and other cross-functional groups for planning and executing strategic initiatives, provide strategic input into team plans, develop and share internal team communications, oversee/lead key projects, liaise with Finance and Medical Leads to manage budget planning and execution, manage the annual Integrated Medical Action Plan (IMAP) process, and act as key bridge to the Commercial teams to help communicate the value and impact of Medical.
This is a highly visible position, and offers many opportunities to network across Sanofi, Genzyme, and Pasteur. The position is based in Bridgewater, NJ
Provide operational support to the General Medicines US Medical Leadership Team to drive, execute, and implement critical strategic and operational mandates.
Lead key projects, initiatives, and provide guidance to the Leadership Team in the execution of US General Medicine’s operational strategies.
Provide strategic input into team plans, lead key projects and initiatives, organize and lead meetings, liaise with and provide feedback/guidance to the Leadership Team.
Prioritize and coordinate project management for the General Medicines US Medical budgetary process, and ensure cross-functional alignment with respective business units and functions.
Serve as General Medicines US Medical’s primary strategic liaison with cross-functional teams including, Commercial, Market Access, Health, Economics, and Value Assessment (HEVA), Real World Evidence (RWE), Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance, among others.
Working transversally with all functions including, Ethics, Business & Integrity (EB&I) and Legal for reaching census on risk identification and mitigation /remediation framework and compliance initiatives.
Foster Quality Risk Management and Internal Control Culture, and ensure that Quality & Compliance risks are proactively detected, assessed, and mitigated.
Partner with Finance and Leadership to ensure fiscal accountability of the General Medicines US Medical budget.
Lead the annual Medical Strategic Planning Process and Launch Readiness of new products.
Provide support with preparations for major internal and external meetings.
Partner and coordinate with communications for critical events/activities.
Proactively highlight potential issues to General Medicines US Medical Leadership and provide active support in remediation.
Provide active operational support to the General Medicines US Medical Leadership Team to help ensure strong collaboration, alignment, and information sharing.
Ensure that General Medicines US Medical local procedures are formalized, updated, and in line with policies, standards, and guidance, and verify that local procedures are adequately approved and communicated.
Support the General Medicines US Medical team for training employees on policies and procedures.
Develop and support simplification initiatives.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is key for this position.

10+ years professional experience in a pharmaceutical or pharmaceutical wholesaler or role with equivalent function strongly preferred.
BS/BA required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience directly managing people and large teams, as well as a clear understanding of Commercial operations, is a plus.
