iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of:

Senior Financial Analyst External Affairs - VIE Contract (W/M)

Responsibilities:

  • Providing controlling support to the External Affairs function within the Global Support Functions perimeter, including preparation of budgets and forecasts (Strategic Plan / Budget / Quarterly Landings), monthly closings (accruals, expense reviews, scorecards), project approval and tracking, and other financial planning & analysis activities
  • Consolidating regional results for North America and coordinating as necessary with local controllers in other businesses to ensure transparency of information and assumptions
  • Preparing budgets, forecasts and track actuals related to Sanofi/Regeneron Alliance and report results monthly/quarterly within global Alliance Reporting Tool; creating ad-hoc analyses and reports as required by Alliance Lead controllers; calculate and recording Alliance profit share; partnering closely with Alliance business leads to accurately track planned projects and budget ownership between Sanofi and Regeneron, in a shifting environment
  • Coordinating with global controlling counterparts to consolidate External Affairs information and provide reconciled/accurate results to Global function heads
  • As process owner, working with function / department heads, project directors, and other customers to develop expense Forecasts / Budgets while ensuring alignment with business initiatives and team goals; managing headcount, in conjunction with HR, to achieve business results;  identifying risks and opportunities that affect the achievement of forecasts, proposing any compensating options, and providing scenario analysis
  • Monitoring business financial performance and presenting monthly Scorecard results to local Function heads and department leads; providing monthly commentary to explain variances between actual results and budget / forecasts
  • Providing financial support for analyses and other business cases as needed.  Co-piloting and challenging the business investments and resources allocation through the appropriate use of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), prioritization measures and operational analysis
  • Educating client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure full compliance;  ensuring contracts and projects are budgeted properly
  • Ensuring compliance of all internal control processes
  • Utilizing continuous improvement in daily activities to identify process simplification opportunities and enhance tools improvements

Requirements:

  • MBA (Master of Business Administration) or Master in Finance / Accounting from an accredited college or university
  • 3-5 years of Accounting / Finance experience, including public accounting and / or forecasting 
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to track and manage high volume of projects at a detailed level
  • Ability to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively across international work streams
  • Ability to interact effectively with upper levels of management
  • Change agent who can propose, lead and drive changes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a complex matrix environment
  • Motivated to grow in career
  • CPA – might be a plus, Certified Public Accountant
  • FLDP (Field Leadership DevelopmentProgram) or pharmaceutical industry experience – might be a plus
  • Business partnering experience
