SPECIAL MARKETS SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY:
The Special Markets Specialist position is primarily responsible for supporting the contracting programs related to Synvisc, Lemtrada and our generics portfolio as well as the Specialty Pharmacy contracts. This role involves contract management for various types of contracts (including direct and indirect) in the form of drafting customer agreements, accurately loading contracts/amendments, assigning eligibility/pricing and performing customer measurements. The Specialist will help execute contracts in our contract administration system (Revenue Manager). Additionally, the Specialist is the primary point of contact for field sales team/internal teams pertaining to requests/inquiries regarding the programs. Requests/inquiries come via e-mail and include new contracts, measurement verification, pricing and addition/removal of sites from contract. The secondary role for the Specialist involves the monthly/quarterly adjudication of rebate payments and admin fees in accordance with contracted terms and conditions. The Specialist should also have a fundamental understanding of chargebacks and membership/COT assignment, as these functions are related to this role. The candidate may also work in close cooperation with the Contract Manager and counterparts in Contract Development, Finance, Legal, Strategy, Trade, Government, and IT.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage mailbox as the primary point of contact for field sales team/internal teams pertaining to requests/inquiries regarding the programs
Interact with field sales team/internal teams to resolve issues pertaining to pricing/eligibility/measurement of contracting programs
Manage program contracts via system maintenance through accurate loading of contracts/amendments, eligibility, pricing, and customer measurement
Analyze and process monthly/quarterly rebate payment
Management of the direct contracts including analyzing terms and conditions to appropriately set up eligibility and pricing.
Synvisc, Lemtrada and Winthrop product and program support
Multiple Parent IDs maintenance
Tier maintenance/Membership Changes
Load contract prices based off ASP & WAC
Support the department performance measurement programs
Analyze and process monthly, quarterly, annual payments and rebates

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:
Pharmaceutical experience preferable
Ability to understand and communicate contracting strategies of high complexity
Excellent analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication
Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks
Excellent PC skills including intermediate MS Office. Knowledge of ERP stems like SAP and Revenue Manager a plus.
