Position Summary:

This position is responsible for developing comprehensive channel plans while collaborating with other internal and external stakeholders to identify solutions and innovative opportunities for differentiating Sanofi’s service within the trade channel.  In this role, the individual will lead the evaluation, development & execution of 3rd party electronic tools, digital solutions, and point of care programs in order to maximize brand performance and patient access within the trade channel. 

This position needs to maintain deep channel insights in order to guide the broad organization on business needs and opportunities.  Additionally, the person in this role needs to possess a proactive, customer-centric, multidisciplinary approach to implement solutions which will enhance patient access and support in a competitive and evolving market.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive organizational awareness and educate internal stakeholders of digital health solutions landscape in order to position Sanofi as the leading digital healthcare platform. 

  • Work cross-functionally to develop formal channel plans and insights through research and evaluation of market and channel activities. Utilize these plans to create innovative programs and services that differentiate Sanofi’s position within the channel. 

  • Prospect and identify new and innovative digital channel opportunities through working with internal and external teams that can enhance Sanofi’s interactions with channel partners and patients.

  • Prepare business cases to support recommendations on resources and strategies required for the channel to provide data insights and create engaging digital experiences. Develop and outline recommendations, with multi-stakeholder input, that provide a comprehensive view of timelines, resources and financials to achieve objectives. 

  • Manage all aspects of account management with 3rd party vendors; contracts, execution and performance measurement.  Work with internal processes to fully execute agreements (purchasing, legal, compliance, regulatory, etc.). Further, ensure all materials are MLR approved.

  • Lead the implementation and project management of 3rd party digital tools and programs that improve patient access and service in provider channels. These tools include patient therapy pathway management, Point of Care / Sale programs (e.g. GoodRx, Relay Health, etc.) and access solutions that expedite prior authorization & ePA solutions (e.g. CoverMyMeds, PARx, etc.), fulfillment and adherence, patient education and support.   

  • Support trade account directors in implementation, monitoring & pull through of channel programs.  Partner in gathering field team insights and organize rollout of programs and materials to field teams. 

  • Establish and track KPI’s for channel programs.  Develops executive summaries for leadership to communicate operational and financial results and recommendations

  • Assist in ad hoc business or channel opportunities as raised by other functions within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in science or healthcare field, pharmacy degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of diverse healthcare business experience, with digital healthcare program leadership required

  • Consulting or equivalent experience also considered

  • Leadership and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to build consensus and achieve alignment  on key priorities

  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management and active communication skills

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking ability to interpret, present and operationalize innovative and actionable tactical plans with strong alignment across different stakeholders

  • Network capabilities to learn from and work with different teams, departments, customers and vendors

  • Solid business acumen with ability to critically think through challenges in order to implement new approaches or resolve issues. 

  • Ability to foster creativity and innovative solution development through champion new ideas with focus on delivery of results

  • Demonstrated success with strong results in overseeing the implementation of programs across different functional areas

  • Broad understanding of the US healthcare market especially within the Market Access and Trade functions

  • Experience in marketing or sales with ability to develop market insights and strong business plans

  • Good technical grasp for issues specific to reimbursement and access. 

  • Ability to identify and align economic value propositions across different channel segments (wholesaler/distributor, pharmacy - retail/mail/long-term care/specialty, prescriber)

Primary Location and Role Criteria:

  • Bridgewater or Cambridge based preferred, Remote considered

  • Ability to travel 10-20%
