The Lead, US fitusiran Marketing will oversee the US commercial planning and launch preparation execution of a priority hemophilia pipeline asset for U.S. Rare Blood Disorders currently in Phase III of Development. The role with work in close partnership with the Global team and across US functions, including rest of Hemophilia Marketing, Value & access, Sales, Business operations, Medical, Patient Support Services, to ensure plans align with US business priorities, fitusiran strategic directions, and overall Hemophilia market dynamics.

This role reports to the Head of Hemophilia Marketing within the US Rare Blood Disorders franchise in Sanofi and will be part of the extended Rare Blood Disorders Leadership Team. The position will be based in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of the US brand plan for fitusiran, informing the where to play by providing data-driven strategic insights, and deriving the how to win across Hemophilia scope, shaping the overall US commercial strategy for the asset in partnership with cross-functional partners

  • Lead US fitusiran commercial planning, short- and long-term revenue and operational expense forecasts; manage fitusiran launch budget; partner with Competitive intelligence and Market research partners to inform strategic choices and forecasts

  • Lead US launch planning efforts for fitusiran including oversight of internal program management, coordinating with cross-functional partners to build launch roadmap and establish workstreams in charge of driving execution

  • Build US fitusiran marketing team, fostering performance, development, and coaching of future talents for the organization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across the organization (Global, Clinical, Medical, US Marketing, Market Access) to provide US insights into fitusiran Global commercial strategy plans and ensure alignment with overarching US RBD strategy

  • Partner closely with Legal to ensure constant alignment with Sanofi engagements related to partners in the Hemophilia space, both with fitusiran (Alnylam) and others (Sobi)

  • Manage US marketing activities related to fitusiran, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements; lead market development activities and tactics for fitusiran in the US

  • Work closely with the Market Access team on pricing and contracting strategies for fitusiran

  • Build effective working relationships with key external customers including thought leaders and patient advocacy groups across Hemophilia

  • Ensure effective agency relationships are managed and developed in support of key initiatives

  • Select, refine, and ensure alignment with groups of vendors used for therapeutic area programs and projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8+ years relevant commercial experience in the biopharmaceutical industry; hematology or rare disease marketing preferred

  • U.S. Commercial experience with strong matrix skills to work effectively across the company

  • Strong understanding of launch context, including strategic and US operational requirements

  • Strategic mind to set commercial ambition and supporting execution plan

  • Experience working with cross functional project teams (e.g., Project Management, R&D, Portfolio Management, etc.) and guiding development strategies to meet commercial needs

  • Strong track record of project management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize

  • Excellent communications and presentation skills

  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction

  • B.S./B.A. degree 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or science-related graduate degree

  • Deep understanding of the US hemophilia market

  • Proven team player with ability to navigate cross functionally
