iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission:

Junior Data Scientist & BI Developer - VIE Contract (W/M/D)

Target start date: 01/07/2024

As VIE in OPCM (Operational Planning and Capacity Management) your main missions will be: 

  • Use statistical methods to analyze large datasets and extract valuable insights.
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions through Business Intelligence tools.
  • Participate in upskilling initiatives aimed at developing data visualization and BI best practices.
  • Collaborate in the development of various data analyses and predictive models to support planning and resources simulation needs (what-if scenario).
  • End-to-end development of interactive web applications (using R/python-based frameworks) for automating and distributing data management and models.
  • Lead diverse transversal initiative(s).
  • Summarize, vulgarize and explicit results in presentations during meetings with cross-functional teams in an international environment (collaborators located in the USA, Germany, China and France).

Key “MUST HAVE” competencies, skills & experiences

  • Master’s degree related to Data Science such as statistics, computer science, mathematics or similar field.
  • Experience in programming and statistical modelling.
  • Knowledge of a programming language such as R or Python.
  • Machine learning knowledge, together with statistical problem solving would be a great asset.
  • Be familiar with SQL and Data Base.
  • Knowledge in Data visualization, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and web app framework development ideally (such as RShiny, Dash, Streamlit…).
  • Ability to decrypt and translate business problematic into a technical solution.
  • Autonomous, curiosity and self-learner.
  • Analytical mindset, pragmatic, results oriented.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and writing).
  • Knowledge of German language would only be a plus.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be a plus.
