About the opportunity
Sanofi Geel currently has a great opportunity for a Finance Business Partner. In this role, you will act as a lead for Manufacturing controlling and fulfill a variety of financial needs to a wide range of local and network stakeholders. You will report directly to the Head of Site Finance, within the Sanofi Industrial Affairs organization (Specialty Care Operations) and, as such, will be acting as deputy of the site financial controller.
This role is a key business partner to our operational teams in the manufacturing site and will allow you to learn about the business operations while leveraging Finance knowledge.

In this role, you will be involved in…
Forecasts / actual closing:
Ensure timely and accurate reporting, manufacturing process order follow-up and variance analysis
Support and participate in month end close activities which include monthly accruals preparation, perform accounting entries, provide visibility on performance to operations and management, track financial impact of improvement plans
Identify and report risks and opportunities
Responsible for reporting and analysis of manufacturing data in different systems and to different stake holders (SAP S4HANA, Athena (SAP), TM1, Essbase, Corporate tools Atlas & Marco)
Standard Costs calculation & update, BOM and routines in transversal collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance
Build and issue templates easy to understand for individuals not familiar with Finance
Monitor inventory closing, alignment of inventory in Athena vs S4HANA, variances capitalization, inventory depreciation & write-off
Internal control & Audit:
Understand, apply and challenge internal control procedures
Communicate on published procedures and their evolution to operational with easy synthetic documents
External audit preparation
Assist with external/internal audits
Qualifications/Education & work experience
Master with focus in finance/accounting
Proven track record of process improvement & simplification and a solid knowledge of financial systems/tools (5-10 years)
System minded: preferable experience with Excel, PPT, SAP (S4HANA), TM1, Smartview and/or Essbase
Experience in manufacturing controlling and standard cost calculation
Biotech or pharmaceutical industry work experience is preferable
Language: English is a must, strong preference for Dutch, French is nice to have
Mindset: accurate, pro-active, team player, stress-resistant, continuous improvement
Good communication and networking skills (transversal collaboration)
Ability to synthesize and explain complex topics to non-experts
Capacity to coordinate several activities and stakeholders
Hands on and can-do attitude
