ABOUT THE JOB

Our Team

The Sanofi’s Capability Operations team is part of the Organizational Capability and Transformation Centre of Expertise in People and Culture. The mission of the function is to elevate Sanofi’s Organization and Employee Capability, and to steward the successful execution of our Play to Win transformation.

Capability Operations comprise Internal Capability, OC&T Infrastructure, External Workforce, Project Management, Communication and Go to Market actions.

Main responsibilities

This Skill Intelligence Lead will be a member of the Capability Operations team and will participate to the implementation of the Skills Based Approach at Sanofi. The targes is to better leverage our workforce potential by building a global and integrated framework around Skills, building a new model for work and the workforce based on personalization. A Skills-Based Organization (SBO) is an organizational structure and management philosophy that places a strong emphasis on the skills and capabilities of its workforce as a primary driver of success.

The Skill Intelligence Lead will integrate a large, complex project supporting the design, and leading workstreams, planning and implementation. The project will be focusing on building internal People & Culture capabilities (e.g., creating a new common skills taxonomy for Sanofi). And it will also include design of organizational architecture through to their implementation – managing organizational, team and employee effectiveness through Change Journeys, activating organizational culture.

This role will be accountable for ensuring both internal client satisfaction, as well as other critical success factors, such as: process improvement, global solution design, quality of design and delivery management.

The role reports to the Head of Global Capability Operations (a member of the Organizational Capability & Transformation Leadership Team).

The key activities of the Skills Intelligence Lead will include

Skills Intelligence Expert

  • Create a skills structure that supports organisational growth, talent management and employee satisfaction with fair and transparent methodologies
  • Act as a link between the project and the different P&C stakeholders, strong analytical and communication skills are essential to better interprets data related to workforce skills, identifying trends and gaps
  • Co creation of strategies for skills development, training and hiring by structuring and implementing the Sanofi Skills taxonomy
  • Develop and refine a comprehensive job architecture framework associating the skills aligned with organizational goals. Ensuring it complies with relevant laws, regulation and industry standards mitigating legals risks associated to job classification and compensation

Project Management

  • Support design, planning and oversee the implementation of complex Skill based Organization project
  • Monitoring and tracking the status of initiatives and create periodic, timely reporting to project sponsors and steering committees
  • Interface with and mobilize key stakeholders to deliver desired outcome
  • Participate in drafting change management and comms initiatives and ensure implementation
  • Proactively manage risks, propose risk mitigation plans and escalate problems for problematic areas
  • Coordinate all specific sub streams in close collaboration with the core P&C Project team members
  • Create the mid/long term roadmap of continue improvements
  • Advocate innovation and effectively lead through change
  • Create and foster a culture of accountability through end-to-end solution design
  • Drive simplification in process and structure; remove complexity and duplication where possible

ABOUT YOU

Experience

  • The successful candidate will be experienced large transformation projects in a complex, transversal and global context, and in particular projects linked to organizational effectiveness of which approximately 5-7 years in an operational/delivery capacity
  • Strong Workday knowledge will be appreciated
  • Ideally, the candidate will have the ability to plan strategically, be a strong operator with execution discipline (agile/waterfall as needed) and use design thinking
  • Ability to understand and challenge P&C operating models as well as ways of working with a creative thinking mind
  • Experience with designing global taxonomy in jobs, competences, or skills
  • Strong business orientation and tactical thinking combined with ability to execute
  • Capacity to facilitate and build relationships, and to adapt communication style according to situations and audiences

  • Strategic thinking: Clear vision of the goal for the external workforce organization and ability to steer the teams towards
  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding of cultural differences between regions and countries and ability to adapt working and management style accordingly
  • Collaborative: Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and stakeholders
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling messaging and positioning for different audiences
  • Analytical: Data-driven mindset with experience in analyzing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication and GTM initiatives
  • Leadership: Possesses a strong management presence and leadership ability, with communication and interpersonal skills that inspire and motivate leaders and team
  • Customer Focus: Driver of the customer-centric mindset being able to understand and anticipate customer needs
  • Change Management: Ability to lead change by clearly communicating role and functional requirements, as well as behavioral expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful External Workforce Programs across multiple channels and markets

Languages

  • Given the global nature of this role, we require full business fluency in English
