Our Team:

The newly founded and multiskilled Data and analytics team aims to deliver data across CHC globally. The team is composed of several entities “Data Governance”, “Advanced Analytics”, “Data Modelling & Architecture” and “Program & Operations”.

JOB SUMMARY

The Advanced Analytics and AI Lead (AL) is a key enabler for the achievement of Sanofi’s objectives of leveraging data, digital, and ML-based solutions to drastically improve marketing, supply, and financial operations.  Discovering and implementing solutions using data is critical to the success of this role.

The AL plays a key role in the deployment and continuous improvement of machine learning pipelines generating insights for business. He/she is required to leverage and synthesize large volumes of heterogeneous data, evaluate the performance of existing models, and develop new machine learning pipelines to enhance the business’s understanding of individual population segments, and investment outcomes, anticipate changes in our customer patterns, etc.

The AL will be involved in projects of different natures such as time series forecasting, data segmentation, natural language processing, constraint programming, and optimization across the whole Sanofi organization.

Main responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead the end-to-end solution designing and ensure the fit-for-propose for all projects.
• Implementation of new machine learning pipelines as per the project needs.
• Identify potential improvements on existing models.
• Conceptualize, design, and implement generative AI solutions.
• Exploratory analysis and integration of new datasets
• Design and implementation of experiments to validate or determine the adoption of state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms.
• Advise the business on the potential of new data and algorithms – prepare presentations for different audiences.
• Provide new insights to businesses through the use of advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization techniques.
• Manage a team of data scientists ensuring best practices and business alignment.
• Support in recruiting activities
• Help harmonize and standardize solutions between different markets.
• Help in the recruitment and mentoring of data science, MLOps engineers, and data engineering experts.

About you

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.  Working experience of the equivalent is also acceptable for this position.
• The candidate will be familiar with programming and scripting languages like Python and R
• Previous experience in cloud environments such as AWS
• Experience in MLFLOW, Databricks, and GIT/GITHUB or similar

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• 12+ years of strong expertise in advanced analytics, data science and machine learning
• Background/interest in Artificial Intelligence
• Previous knowledge in GenAI use cases and architecture.
• Experience managing teams (2-5 representatives) and communicating results to business.
• International experience
• Experience in interdisciplinary domains (involving healthcare, industrial, marketing, and/or commercial stakeholders)
• Knowledge of Machine Learning libraries is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud technology is a plus.
• Knowledge of the theory of probability and mathematical statistics is a plus.

• Advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) skills.
• Strong English skills both written and spoken. Spanish and/or French are a plus.
