Training and Communication Manager

Mission statements

  • Ensuring strategic alignment of the training department with business goals
  • Evaluating individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
  • Identifying training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments
  • Work with QA department to ensure training curriculum is developed and maintained in iLearn platform and MedHub associates meet requirements in terms of training compliance
  • Developing and delivering training solutions that meet business needs
  • Optimizing training processes for efficiency
  • Selecting and managing resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training
  • Managing the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training
  • Create internal communications protocols and initiatives that will foster employee moral
  • Write/ coordinate and deliver internal newsletter on a monthly basis, Yammer groups and sharepoint communication etc.
  • Manage internal team events such as Townhalls and team building workshops etc.

Duties & Responsibilities

People

  • Lead training programs to assist employees with transitions
  • Work with QA department to ensure training curriculum is developed and maintained in iLearn platform and MedHub associates meet requirements in terms of training compliance
  • Lead the internal communication for employees
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with people to understand the training needs

Performance

  • Oversees training programmes that include web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more
  • Determines training needs and requirements for an organisation or group by meeting with managers, talking with employees, or administering surveys

Process

  • Presents in-person and online training sessions (if required)
  • Schedules training sessions, organizes information technology and other equipment, and manages course enrolment
  • Monitors training programmes and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and makes updates as necessary
  • Works with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments
  • Manages costs for all programmes, productions, and publications in order to report to organisation executives regarding a return on investment
  • Specialises in pharma industry and keeps current on the activities and needs of that industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars
  • Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods

Customer

  • Maintain effectiveness relationships with the end stakeholders within the allocated Global business unit and product – with an end objective to develop training solutions as per requirement
  • Builds and maintains solid partnerships with assigned internal stakeholders to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate internal communications

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies / Language

  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Stakeholder management

Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in education, human resources or a related discipline
  • Excellent English language knowledge
  • 8+ years’ experience – Learning / Pharma industry

Requirements of the job

  • A proven track record of training program development and management
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to think analytically and strategically
  • Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently
  • Knowledge about scientific communication preferred
