JOB PURPOSE

Be the brand custodian for the Zone by leading the Brand Plan development, identifying Where to Play and How to Win across markets to ensure of implementation aligned with Global strategies, and be P&L accountable for the brand for the Zone. Build strong, sustainable and purpose led equity behind the brand and deliver consistently on market share and financial targets.

Manage the Present:

  • Act as the owner of the Brand Strategy and represent the ever-changing needs of their consumers
  • Leads Brand Plan development, identifies Where to Play and How to Win across markets to ensure implementation in line with Global strategies
  • Partner with and influence the support functions in Country level to ensure the support to drive the category business growth
  • Partner with and lead country brand activators to deliver on execution excellence in line with the strategic roadmap

Create the Environment:

  • Lead and partner with the Country Brand Activators, and wider team, to build and create a Brand Community with focus on Purpose-Driven, Performance-Led and Consumer Centrism

Create the Future:

  • Continuously Raise the Bar on Consumer Centrism, and venture the new opportunities and initiatives to build the purposeful brands
  • Partner with the Country Brand Activators to bring us closer to the FMCH mission across the Zone

KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Represent the Zone for Brand Related Initiatives

  • Leads the development of the TME Brand Plan, and identifies Where to Play and How to Win across markets & ensures execution in line with Global/Zone strategy
  • Manage communications between Global/Region brand leads to ensure Zone input/output is reflected into global strategies and best practices for the brand
  • Drive execution excellence in multi-country brand initiatives in accordance with global brand strategies and monitor the results consistently
  • Leads & partners with country brand activators for assigned brand/s to appropriately reflect Zone-level view of brand plans and opportunities

Synthesize Brand Plans and Brand Priorities for the Zone

  • Lead the strategic roadmap direction and ensure the development of creative assets, media plans & medical marketing plans that drive the brand within it’s must win markets
  • Influence the Zone support functions, including Supply Chain and Regulatory, to safeguard the brand’s plan
  • Develop a sizable and meaningful pipeline of innovation (NPLs, switches, re-packaging) in order to generate growth over and above the core-business performance
  • Lead the Country Brand Activators to drive brand priorities and have a Zone-level view of brand plans and opportunities

Influence the Brand Strategic Roadmap of the Zone

  • Understand the business of each country for the brand and be able to identify the sources of growth for the overall TME region and propose the directions for new opportunities, including (but not limited to) new products / ISC discussions for the category
  • Drive the integration of insights from country-level into TME business strategies and creatives
  • Be the brand consumer champion within the media/ creative/ external agencies community related to assigned brand/s

Brand Financial and Executional Performance Metrics Accountability

  • Provide Zone-level view of brand financial performance (Top line sell-in/ sell-out, BOI and MS metrics) and propose corrective actions when necessary
  • Provide guidance of the brand media / advertising budget vs BTL ratio and monitor to ensure expenditure is as per execution cycle plan (from Country Brand Activators)
  • Work closely with Zone Finance Leads and Local Finance business partners to build an efficient way of working to measure brand financial performance
  • Drive excellence in execution via the Country Brand Activators
  • Ensure NPLs are successfully launched across TME with the right level of support and with the right tools to generate a fast consumer adoption

Define the Zone Brand CMI (Consumer and Market Insights) Roadmap

  • Identify knowledge gaps and the new business opportunities, and prioritize and propose market research plans to address for the brand
  • Share and validate CMI roadmap with CMI Regional Lead

Brand Team Partnership & Collaboration

  • Be a proactive key member of the core and extended Zone brand team (i.e. Internal ecosystem includes zone and potentially local medical, regulatory, finance, IA, SC)
  • Create a sense of common purpose across business unit teams and share business/ sales imperatives by establishing clear and positive messages about what needs to be achieved for the brand/s assigned
  • Collaborate to create brand strategy and an integrated brand plan and work with the Country Brand Activators to identify opportunities to create value for the consumers/ patients

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

Experience

  • Senior (min. 5 years work experience) marketing professional w/ background in Consumer goods and/or Consumer Healthcare
  • Proven success in growing brands
  • Multi country experience and matrix organization experience preferred
  • Ability to own and manage a P&L
  • Able to read and interpret market data (IMS, Nielsen, Euromonitor)

  • Leadership and ability to coach, motivate and manage teams who are not on a direct reporting line
  • Strategic & analytical thinking, agility and adaptability
  • Planning and project management
  • Strong presenter & communicator both written and verbal
  • Creativity, problem-solving and multi-tasking ability
  • Proficient on Microsoft tools e.g., Excel, PowerPoint
  • Digital marketing experience/expertise is a plus

Languages

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Speaking and writing in another additional Zone language (Arabic or Turkish) is a plus
