CMC bioassay and analytical development team is looking for a highly motivated colleague to perform testing and characterization activities in support of pre-clinical and clinical programs. The candidate should have strong working knowledge of protein analysis; be adept at bioassay and analytical techniques and can carry out laboratory experiments with minimal supervision. Additionally, this position participates in planning unit operations/experiments under supervision and drafting support documentation for ongoing programs, so attention to detail, organization and good laboratory documentation practices are desired. In support of our fast-paced department, the ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple projects and studies simultaneously, while still producing consistent and reliable results.
Perform cell-based in vitro assays with minimal supervision and assist assay optimization and technology transfer to CROs. Reporter cell line engineering experience is desired but not required.
Participate in assay development and carry out state-of-the-art protein-based assays, e.g. ELISA, Western, Capillary Electrophoresis, DSF, SPR etc. to determine drug candidate activity, identity and purity in support of CMC activities.
Perform assay evaluation for range, linearity, precision, accuracy, and LOQ, etc. in accordance of ICH and FDA guidelines.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with various methods and instrument e.g. plate reader, flow cytometer, qPCR, SPR etc.
Manage priority, plan experiments, conduct analysis and report results to project teams.
Prepare research reports and presentations for team meetings, and draft laboratory standard operation procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams and provide support to different functional groups as needed.
B.S. in the Life Sciences and 8 years of lab experience or related field; OR M.S. and 6 years in biomedical sciences or related field, with a minimum of 3-4 years of bioassay experience.
Ability to follow SOP’s and to perform testing in an accurate and reproducible manner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team-orientated environment.
Committed to working in a collaborative manner.
Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
Must have excellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
Good oral and written communication skills a must.
Ability to effectively and clearly explain results to other team members.
