ABOUT THE JOB

Our Team

The Data and Computational Sciences team is at the forefront of revolutionizing mRNA research and development at Sanofi. We drive end-to-end data integration and advanced analytics across various domains, including pre-clinical, biomarkers, process development, CMC, and clinical. Our mission is to deploy cutting-edge digital solutions, incorporating AI, machine learning, data, and analytics, to create a fully data-driven strategy and decision-making process. Join us to contribute to the acceleration of mRNA vaccines and therapeutics development and launch.

Main responsibilities

In this role, we are seeking a candidate with strong technical skills and a passion for data modeling. Key responsibilities include data modeling, mapping, and change control to ensure seamless data flow into a centralized repository.

You will

  • Analyze and translate business needs into conceptual and logical data models
  • Define and structure domain data, owning domain data maps, business glossaries, and data models
  • Establish a foundational, harmonized mRNA data model at a conceptual and logical level, prioritizing data segments for key use cases
  • Drive, coordinate, and document changes on logical and conceptual data models, collaborating with the Digital team for proper implementation
  • Coordinate with sub-domain data leads, mRNA data stewards, and source system owners to ensure correct data mappings
  • Evaluate impacts of core systems data model changes on the mRNA data continuum, promoting necessary adaptations

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in data modeling within the biotech/pharma Research, Process Development, and/or Manufacturing context
  • Experience with SQL for creating Views/Data Marts to support dashboards/visualizations
  • Experience mapping source data systems into centralized data repositories, preferably with knowledge of Snowflake
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with technical resources and domain experts
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with drug/vaccine discovery and development processes, and knowledge of RNA biology and RNA-centric techniques/methods is a plus
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices is a plus
  • Fluency in English (oral and written), knowledge of French is a plus
