The Deputy Director, Contract & Pricing Operations is a part of the VaxServe Contract & Pricing Management team. The team supports the overall goals of the VaxServe organization by leading all aspects of VaxServe’s private contracts (Flu and Mainline), as well as all activities associated with Non-Sanofi Vaccine contract fulfilment. Additionally, the Contract & Pricing team supports the VaxServe sales teams by providing detailed insights into customer contract eligibility and pricing that aid in maintaining and growing the VaxServe business.

Main Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the Deputy Director, Contract & Pricing Operations include:

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to be the leader of various contract-related activities and serve as the key contact working cross functionally with various internal teams to support the VaxServe portfolio.  Key activities that fall under this leader includes: membership/eligibility and contract setup, chargeback reconciliation support, sales team support and other ad hoc requests.

  • Supports the Director of Contract & Pricing Management on major strategic and competitive opportunities which impact both VaxServe and the broader Sanofi Vaccines portfolio

  • Leads and serves as the main contact for the VaxServe Private Contract lifecycle for Key Retail customers, and for all customers outside of the Retail segment. Responsibilities include development and ownership of required contract templates as well leading the contract process by working cross-functionally with various internal teams throughout entirety of the contracting process prior to execution

  • Leads the VaxServe rebate & admin fee payment processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all calculations and payments associated with VaxServe Private Contracts, as well as admin fee payments to group purchasing organizations (GPOs).

  • Owns the VaxServe pricing approval process including development of all documents associated with price changes, new product additions and customer-specific requests; obtaining all required approvals; and ensuring adherence to all SOX requirements related to this process.

  • Works closely with key stakeholders to assess business needs including Sales, Marketing and other leaders to provide solutions and support as needed. Participates in cross-functional meetings to better understand competitors, new products, business strategy, marketing and sales tactics, etc.   

  • Pressure tests current processes and leads development of new processes as business needs arise.

  • Identifies process efficiencies and Partners with Digital ITS and other resources to implement 

  • During critical times, will be asked to lead ad-hoc projects and/or support Director of Contracting & Pricing and Head of Business Operations for critical projects

  • Leads and develops a team of 3 contracting and pricing professionals. Ensures management and training of the pricing team on all processes/protocols related to contracts & pricing. Mentors and develops team via Individual Development Plans (IDP), frequent feedback and training. Completes and delivers all performance reviews for the team.

Experience: Previous experience working in Market Access, Contracting & Pricing space preferred. People management experience preferred.

  • Soft skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be agile/adaptable to changes. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within the VaxServe organization and Vaccines organizations as required. Excellent listening, negotiating, communication and multi-tasking skills.

  • Technical skills: Strong written/oral communication skills. Able to work closely with senior leadership. High attention to detail/accuracy. People management. Systems: Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. SAP a plus.

  • Education: BA/BS Degree required (Business degree preferred).

  • Languages: English
