Market Access and Pricing Economist

We are looking for a Market Access and Pricing Economist to join the Market Access and Trade team and build the analytical capabilities of the unit.

The main role of the position is to provide the economical/analytical view in the unit's areas of responsibility: Market Access and the NHB process (סל הבריאות), commercial and trade process and pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Market access: Building the economic perspective for access processes (NHB, HMOs Listing, Supplementary insurance, etc.):

  • Gather information like prices, volumes, trends of existing and future competitors
  • Analyze the current and future economic environment
  • Build framework for the NHB discussion and agreements with the MOH (BI, risk sharing)
  • Support the internal pricing approval process
  • Support Max projects

Commercial and trade: Support commercial processes with the customers (HMOs Hospitals and others):

  • Providing current and future environment analysis to prepare the ground for effective negotiations
  • Support the negotiation process, build models for alternative scenarios, develop solutions to secure and promote company's interests
  • Monitor the agreements and alert the accounts managers
  • Support the KAM/in field market access team members with their numerical needs

Pricing: Manage and maintain internal pricing platforms:

  • Prime contact to global and regional pricing team
  • Follow and implement company's pricing policies
  • Establish long term pricing/commercial strategy
  • Build local pricing strategy and ensure implementation in Commercial and Max activities

Requirements:

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in similar position: Analyst/economic in a sales/marketing company or
  • in local health market hospitals/HMO/Gov
  • Previous experience in a similar position in the pharma industry - an advantage

Competencies

  • Ability to work with superiors and experienced partners 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills – intensive interaction with pears and managers
  • Analytics – systematic thinking with attention to details. looks at issues in wide perspective
  • Strategic thinking - long term thinking, draw the big picture from details

Skills

  • Excellent excel skills
  • Good power point skills 

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Master’s degree – an advantage.

Languages

  • Hebrew - full professional proficiency
  • English – full professional proficiency
