Job Summary

The Rite Aid Senior Team Lead is the primary strategic lead and responsible for our comprehensive business plan with Rite Aid. The position will report directly to the Head of Drug, and play a critical role to the success of the company.This leader will understand how to drive value and sales end-to-end, from supply chain to the consumer, across categories. The Rite Aid Senior Team Lead will have one National Account Manager as a direct report, along with agency support.The leader will proactively drive sales and promotional planning, forecasting, trade spend management, profitability and analysis. This leader will work cross functionally across the organization. This individual must be able to influence and educate, both internally and externally, to ensure he/she is securing the resources needed to succeed in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Rite Aid Team to deliver sales targets, spend, profitability, and share goals

  • Leverage fact-based category and brand analysis to drive sales and share growth. 

  • Own the establishment and execution of our overall vision and strategy to win with Rite Aid, to include collaborating to secure input, investment and support from internal cross-functional partners.

  • Build and foster relationships with Senior-level leadership at Rite Aid, including merchandising, marketing, supply chain and store operations. This includes building and owning a Joint Business Plan, which encompasses our mutual growth targets and strategic investment areas for Sanofi and Rite Aid.

  • Continually coaches, influences and motivates team to achieve goals and support their personal and professional growth.

  • Manage and own the Rite Aid Team P&L.

  • Develop and lead accurate monthly forecasts to drive supply chain efficiencies and sales expectations. Proactively identify risks and opportunities

  • Lead and represents the singular, one voice of Rite Aid.

  • Define and lead the necessary business questions and support from data analytics and shopper/consumer insights, to position Sanofi as the thought leader in the Health Care and Personal Care categories in which we compete.

  • Employs leadership principles and entrepreneurial spirit to ‘own’ the Rite Aid business


  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in CPG or consumer health

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, MBA preferred 

  • Rite Aid experience preferred

  • A strong leader with demonstrated track-record for exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a general management mindset and capabilities.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Self-motivated, and inspire others when facing highly ambiguous, complex situations

  • Ability to make decisions with less than perfect inputs

  • Ability to lead and coach a team consistent with Sanofi values

  • Strong business and financial acumen – ability to track, plan and evaluate volume, spend and overall financial metrics

  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail, dependable and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to present with confidence and convey ideas simply and persuasively

  • Ability to creatively problem solve and be solutions oriented

  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix organization to achieve objectives

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as trade management system

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
