Account Executive – Greater Manchester (Diabetes)

About the Opportunity
The Account Executive is accountable for the creation and implementation of the local area business plan, for identified key accounts. The role will be expected to pull in local external account insights to co create shared goals with customers to ensure delivery of the area business goals. Cross-functional working with Medical, Customer Engagement and Marketing is essential for successful execution and delivery towards a sustainable business model and real benefits for our customers and their patients. This is a hybrid role across both secondary and primary care.
About Sanofi Business Unit
The Global Business Unit combines the product portfolios of Sanofi’s existing Diabetes and Cardiovascular (DCV) GBU with Established Products, which are currently part of the General Medicines & Emerging Markets (GEM) GBU. The new unit will focus exclusively on mature markets.
Business Ownership - Is a proactive territory business owner - effectively managing self and cross functional resource to deliver on sales targets and optimise the brand strategy in order to build a sustainable business whilst meeting the needs of prioritised key accounts
Operates strategically - Operates strategically in the key accounts to deliver valued solutions and increase the number of patients benefiting from our medicines
Network mapping and design - Identifies connections and influence beyond individual customer/account by managing multiple interactions with diverse stakeholders to create beneficial changes and improve customer engagement
Responsive Planning - Creates impact by owning flexible and responsive account plans that actively empower and align the cross functional team to take shared ownership of account goals and an agile plan
Developing capabilities / Therapy knowledge - Actively develops and demonstrates knowledge of therapy area, current treatments and future advances, to retain competitive advantage. Adopt an Account first approach in line with the competency framework. Re-configure capability to interact digitally with customers
To excel in this role you will need to have:
Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with a science background
Detailed understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application in a business environment. ABPI qualified
Knowledge of the Diabetes therapy area is a must
Detailed knowledge of the NHS, its modernisation agenda, the local resulting changes/needs are and how these link to Company goals
Demonstrated ability to identify strategic business opportunities to achieve results
Demonstrated ability to influence relationships and leverage knowledge internally across a matrix structure to optimise opportunities with customers and achieve shared goals
Demonstrate previous ability to work collaboratively
Ability to remain flexible in a changing environment
