Amunix is discovering highly potent cancer therapies that are optimized for minimal side effects using our universal, protease-releasable masking technology (Pro-XTEN). Our discovery process involves novel, highly parallel assays that generate large sets of in vitro and in vivo data. We are currently seeking experienced computational scientists to join our discovery team. The candidates will report to the Head of Data Science and will be responsible for developing fit-for-purpose models, bioinformatics pipelines and computational algorithms to support the OPAL (Omics of Protease Activated Linkers) Project. The successful candidate must be versatile and collaborative to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Work in close partnership with Head of Data Science to develop analytical bioinformatics pipelines for discovery-based data
Implement bioinformatics pipeline to support high-throughput phage display and automate LCMS data analysis
Collaborate with rest of Data Science team to design and manage databases for data generated by the discovery groups
Apply machine learning and deep learning to the current dataset to build predictive models to improve our current strategy for library design
PhD or equivalent in Computational Biology, Biophysics, or related field; 2-5 years of industry experience is preferred. Title and compensation will be offered according to skill level and experience.
Proficiency in R and Python, work knowledge in Linux, database, and cloud computing
Experience in big data analytics and knowledge in next generation sequencing
Solid expertise in machine learning and neural networks such as DNN, CNN, RNN, Autoencoder and GAN
Familiarity or experience with cancer biology, web development, phase display technology and/or LCMS is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in problem solving
Ability to communicate complex data analyses clearly to diverse audiences
