For this role, Sanofi flexible work guidelines supports, on average, 2 days a week remote working location with the balance spent at the designated site.


The process engineer, within the Manufacturing Technology (MTech) function of Vaccine Industrial Affairs Participate in Project Teams, Manufacturing Assistance, and Program Development by providing best practices and economically sound solutions within the timelines provided. The mission of the MTech function is to deliver robust and efficient processes with associated knowledge to transfer to Manufacturing. The MTech function also provides daily support to manufacturing toward industrial performance excellence. 


  • Provide technical support in the field of Drug Product Process Engineering to key customers within the site.

  • Generate Block Flow and Process Flow Descriptions along with other Engineering documents like URS’s and Engineering Gap Assessments.

  • Contribute to project deliverables as part of a team within time and budget.

  • Design and execute scientific studies to generate technical data to increase site understanding of Formulation, Filling, and Lyophilization processes as well as supporting systems like incubators, tanks, mixing stations, cappers, etc.

  • Influences internally and across VIA functions; forward-thinking with an attitude of collaboration, optimization, efficiency, continuous improvement.

  • Proactively anticipates and effectively communicates successes, constraints, conflicts, solutions, and actions for resolution.

  • Proactively resolves conflicts, removes roadblocks to execution within the sphere of influence; escalates to functional management when appropriate.

  • Fosters relationships with partners and experts from other functions and customers in order to achieve technical objectives.


  • Bachelor's degree in the Mechanical Engineering field is preferred.

  • 2+ years experience in the cGMP environment.

  • Must have experience on the filling lines and have written an Engineering document like a URS, a Process Description, or generated process flow diagram.

  • Knowledge of CAD

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word


  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the desire and ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering and has worked on liquid filling applications for Vials, Syringes, and/or ampoules.

  • Adaptability in a changing and challenging project environment

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills

  • Desire to learn about Pharmaceutical and Vaccine production
