A Range of Possibilities

Production Technician - Flu Flex - Vaccines

date posted 08/14/2021
contract type Part time
job id R2611059
location Swiftwater, Pennsylvania

These opportunities will be a combination of 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift position with either a 48/20 or 50/20 work schedule.

Who We Are

Sanofi Pasteur is the vaccines division of Sanofi. We believe in a world in which no one suffers or dies from a vaccine-preventable disease. The Swiftwater site is located in northeast Pennsylvania and is home to the production of over 120 million doses of vaccine each year.

At Sanofi Pasteur’s Swiftwater site, we manufacture and market vaccines to help prevent diseases —some of which have a seasonal demand.  Given this seasonality, peak manufacturing periods require greater levels of labor and it is important that we have the optimal number of employees to meet the demand. At the same time, we must adjust staffing during non-peak times. To address this challenge, we have developed a staffing model to afford flexibility in a dynamic production environment!

This position requires a 48-50hr work week during peak season (January-July with the possibility of a shortened or extended peak season) and a 20hr work week for the remainder of the year.  During peak season work will require

5 x 10-hour days or 4 x 12-hour days depending on the specific job assignment. Weekend work is required. Vacation time will not be granted during peak season.

Who You Are

You are a detail-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and who appreciates having some “built-in” flexibility during the historical non-peak season of August - December
