JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for leading Soliqua brand marketing in General in Japan through strategic planning and effective marketing mix with transformation with responsible full P&L, ROI achievement, supply management, accurate forecasting.

ORGANIZATION CONTEXT

Solid line reporting to Head of brand marketing in General Medicines Business Unit in Japan.

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Marketing strategy development & implementation

-Propose/implement product strategies by understanding market unmet needs.

-Develop business plan for core brands aligned with global direction and active participation in global projects to reflect relevant global brand strategy into Japan.

-Analyse available market data & intelligence to monitor brand performance and to define key issue & opportunities to modifying strategy.

-Understand and analyse P&L based on sales forecasting and managing A&P spending according to sales forecast, proposing FTE deployment strategy based on ROI analysis.

-Prioritize resource allocations through Segmentation &Targeting annual process based on strategy.

-Identify new opportunities consistently to maximize sales with strong execution for ‘plan of action’ to achieve sales goal by leading keen collaboration with field.

-Construct network with key opinion leader by managing congress activities and key stakeholders mapping with medical and PA team to support key strategy dissemination.

-Portfolio strategy management under the one diabetes TA umbrella including legacy portfolio as a overall diabetes strategy integration, utilization and maximization of holistic patient outcomes tools such as Digital Health Care, and consideration of AT1D (Autoimmune Diabetes Type 1D) and future launch.

-Mid to long term brand plan for life-cycle management including lowering the injection barrier along with connected device and Digital healthcare synergy.

2. Achieve improved brand value and equity with business transformation

- Equip ‘Agile’ way of working by supporting CFOM (Customer First Operation Model) as an appropriate approach for future diabetes brand operation.

- Rapidly adopt and reflect new initiatives into brand strategy for business transformation including Turing into brand strategy and daily tactics by creating impactful omnichannel journey.

- Lead the change and connect to new model efficiently by bridging ROI analysis and impact analysis.

3. Collaborate strongly with cross functional to brand success

-Maximize synergy across GenMed franchise including DHC and Auto immune T1D to achieve GenMed vision and mission.

-Align strategy and make sure cross functional contribution with Medical, RA, MA, PA, BO&S, (GTMC in the future), by putting efficient communication channel to maximize brand growth in short term & long term.

- Set keen governance across functional team to align and modify strategy across the function.

4. Promotion tactics to maximize brand performance with strong collaboration across Field, other HQ team and franchise

-Develop key message and programs with patient/customer centricity.

-Communicate product benefits to all the relevant customers (HCP, Patients, Payer, Internal) effectively by putting effective how to with strategy including P2P, omnichannel journey.

- Develop optimal marketing mix to deliver customized message by customer persona.

- Monitor performance and feedback and propose strategic adjustment on action plans.

-Proactively adopt glocal contents by using CLH and strong collaboration with Medical.

5. Ethics and Compliance

- Comply with relevant legislation, ethical standards and company policies.

JOB-HOLDER REQUIREMENTS

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or above.

- High level of knowledge of Marketing, Business principles and pharmaceutical business environment.

Experience & knowledge

- Pharmaceutical industry experience more than 5 years.

- Experience in marketing department more than 3 year is preferred.

- High experience to develop and implement business plan is preferred.
