Our Team:

Reporting to the ANZ People Director, this role is an important part of the ANZ People & Culture team. Nationally, the role will take responsibility for supporting the People Director on the overall people strategy for the Consumer Healthcare organisation alongside ensuring excellent day to day People services for the business and driving compliance and governance in all areas. This role will also work on a range of projects to support the success of the P&C team and broader AMEA P&C team.

Main Responsibilities:

Consulting

  • Working with the People Partner and People Director to develop strong relationships with BU/Function Head and Managers within the Commercial Operations, Support Functions as well as the Manufacturing site

  • Provide counsel to the relevant BU/Function regarding confidential issues, individual personal effectiveness, and impact

  • Clearly understand the business and the critical business drivers of the relevant Global Business Unit

  • Support the People Partner and People Director to drive operational support and to provide an update on strategic and tactical People interventions, applicable to the company and/or the particular customer group

Business Planning Process

  • Work with the People Director to:

  • Annually, gain a comprehensive understanding of the critical business needs of the relevant BU/Function

  • Provide input to the leaders with respect to the annual business planning process; actively contribute to the development of the business plan, ensuring ‘People Strategy’ objectives are contained within the plan where appropriate, facilitate the business planning process for the respective management teams

  • Align individual objectives and focus with the needs and objectives of the business unit/ function

  • Develop specific interventions and solutions in conjunction with P&C Team, which assists the customer group to achieve its objectives

Coaching

  • Provide coaching and support to leaders on performance management and disciplinary matters, the interpretation of awards, company policies, guidelines and legal obligations.

  • Assist managers in conducting ER/IR investigations including grievance and disciplinary matters.

Recruitment and Selection

  • In collaboration with the Line Manager and the Recruitment Manager ensure the selection of high calibre people for the designated customer group up to but not including Senior Levels

HR Administration

  • Manage Invoicing/ Accounts and Purchasing requirements, including purchase orders for the P&C team

  • Contract management of 3rd party suppliers (where appropriate)

  • Answer queries from Maxims regarding approval and reporting lines

  • Work with the People Director and Payroll Manager with data checks

  • Perform Workday checks for data control along with weekly reports to ensure data accuracy for fixed terms, maternity leave, secondments and ensuring KPI’s are met for workday transactions.

HR Systems Implementation and Support

  • Provide information and advice in support of HR systems and process

  • Reporting & Analysis

  • HR Intranet Champion – including upload data/ links 

Business Support

  • Provide support, information and reports, HR policies and tools available to employees and managers. Be first point of contact for business.

  • Active involvement in cross-functional company project teams, where appropriate.

  • Projects

  • Coordinate and support the development of Human Resource projects as outlined in the company Human Resources Business Plan

  • Active involvement in cross-functional company project teams, where appropriate

Health, Safety and Environment 

Cooperate with Management to:  

  • Provide and maintain systems of work and working environments that are safe and without risks to health. 

  • Provide the information, instruction, training, and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees. 

  • Consult with employees about OHS matters so that they can contribute to decisions affecting their health, safety, and welfare. 

  • Ensure the health and safety of people visiting or working who are not employees by not exposing them to risk. 

  • Comply with corporate and legal health and safety requirements.  

  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors and immediately notify the Manager of any serious incidents; complete an Incident / Injury Report and forward to Human Resources within 48 hours where necessary. 

  • Undertake duties in accordance with the current Sanofi Policies and Procedures.  

  • Report non-conformance in accordance with the requirements of the Sanofi quality system. 

About you

Education

  • A Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business or similar

Required knowledge and/or experience

  • A background in a People and Culture advisory / business partnering role ideally on a national scale or multi site operation

  • Experience in blue and white collar environments

  • A true generalist background with experience across all areas of the employee lifecycle with the ability to think strategically whiles being hands on

  • Proven understanding of HR Information Systems (ideally Workday)

  • Knowledge of IR/ER process and legislation

  • The ability to build relationships and influence a large stakeholder group across the business

  • An ability to demonstrate a considerate and empathetic approach to people
