POSITION OVERVIEW

Job Title: Finance Manufacturing Business Partner

Job Summary:

The Senior Business Partner position is a key role supporting the growth and success of the External Manufacturing organization of Sanofi. This position will be providing financial expertise for important strategic launches produced by Contract Manufactures in the Sanofi network. The focus will be on planning and forecasting, developing the cost structure for these new large commercial production contracts, implementation of new financial flows and launch of flows in new financial systems. This position will be part of a global and multi-functional organization with a rich pipeline of  new products.

The successful candidate will be a team player, highly analytical, and a problem solver used to handling multiple projects in a fast pace and changing environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop manufacturing costs in compliance with Sanofi policies and international flows.  

  • Design and update standard costs that fully include all elements of CMO contracts in a simple and effective way.

  • Become an expert of key contractual manufacturing commitments and provide accurate and on time financial reporting to track KPIs such as industrial activity, manufacturing variances and E&O provisions.

  • Understand and anticipate contract manufacturing risks and provide mitigation financial strategies to close financial gaps.

  • Deliver accurate and detailed financial plans and forecasts. Meet all FP&A deadlines in full and in a timely manner. Streamline processes and deliver reliable and well documented financial projections.

  • Be a strong team player by collaborating in cross functional projects and initiatives.

  • Gain full understanding of manufacturing variances and drivers. Generate on time reporting of financial deviations. Complete on time reconciliation process in financial system for errors from goods receipts and missing transactions. Be able to focus on details while being able to see the big picture.

  • Play a key role in the inventory reconciliation process of multiple global locations by working cross functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, and CMOs on a regular basis.  Minimize risk of inventory discrepancies between Sanofi ERP and CMO reporting.

  • Make accurate and timely submissions in different accounting and reporting systems (SAP, TM1, HFM).

  • Prepare financial reports, presentations and tracking of KPIs for various cross-functional forums.

  • Maintain internal controls and apply Sanofi financial policies. Prepare monthly schedules necessary for SOX and Internal Control processes.

  • Maintain close coordination with the Methods and Procedure team, Shared Business Services, corporate accounting teams (Tax, Transfer Price, etc.), and Global Supply Chain in the standard cost setting process and the monthly closing process.

  • Provide financial support for new CMO contracts and technical transfer projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting /Finance required. MBA or CPA desirable, not required.

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in Finance/Accounting. Experience in manufacturing cost accounting is a plus.

  • Knowledge of a financial reporting system (SAP, Oracle, HFM, or TM1). Advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills and people skills.

  • Feel comfortable in a changing and fast pace environment.

  • Experience working with a team and collaborating cross functionally. Experience in a multicultural and global environment is preferred.
