About the Opportunity

As QC Software Instrument Specialist, you will provide Administrator support for Laboratory / Quality IT systems such as Empower and Lab X Administrator onsite. You will ensure that QC systems are maintained / administered and used in a GxP compliant manner.

The multiple national award-winning Sanofi Waterford biopharmaceutical and medical device campus is located in Waterford on Ireland’s southeast coast. Established in 2001 and now with more than 700 employees, the site has seen more than €600m invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology. Diversification continues to bring new products to Waterford and the expanded site portfolio continues to create new opportunities.

Main responsibilities:

  • User Access Management of Quality IT Systems
  • Master Data and Change Management of Quality IT Systems
  • Version Release Management of Quality IT Systems
  • Interface management for systems within scope of role
  • Technical / End User support for the Waterford site
  • Generation and update of system related documentation (e.g. Change Control, URS, Functional Specification, IQ, OQ, UAT, PQ, SOP’s etc) and project execution to the required schedules as per the Site Digital/IT Roadmap
  • Proactively identifying and implementing continuous improvements, best practices, efficiencies, regulatory requirements in a GxP manner
  • Maintenance of key reporting tools and trackers
  • Work with relevant cross-functional project teams and stakeholders on monitoring and reporting of key KPI’s
  • Ensure that systems in his or her area meets Sanofi corporate and manufacturing/laboratory site standards
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements, regulatory requirements, best practices, and efficiencies

About you

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a GxP environment

Soft skills:

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • Works well with others within team and cross-functionally
  • Initiative – able to work in a self-directed manner to see issues through to completion
  • Highly motivated and excellent problem solver

Technical skills:

  • High level of technical knowledge and ability
  • Background in advanced use of Laboratory/Quality IT systems and computerised laboratory instruments in a GxP setting e.g. in Key User, Administrator, SME roles
  • Data Analytical skills e.g. proficient at using Excel, QlikView/QlikSense and advanced digital / data analytics tools to analyse and present system related data
  • Good working knowledge of Laboratory GxP processes

Education:

  • 3rd level degree qualification in Science or IT, or equivalent significant years of experience in a similar role
